US To Work With Allies To Eradicate Piracy

The US State Department has said that it plans to engage other nations also in efforts to combat piracy in the East African country of Somalia. It was reported that US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is trying to contact African countries and other allies to establish stability in Somalia.As the pirates threatened retaliation for the US Captain’s rescue, the US emphasis was on urging other countries to contribute their warships to protect the Somalian coast.There are many within the US military who feel that the daring rescue operations would be further escalate the piracy menace by prompting counter-retaliatory attacks.
